Best Time to Visit Agadir: Weather and Sea by Month
Agadir is Morocco's most consistent beach destination: the ocean cools the summer and winters stay sunny. So the "best time" mainly depends on what you want: swimming, winter sun or surfing.
Agadir can be visited all year thanks to a mild ocean climate. For swimming, aim for June to October: the air reaches 25 to 28 °C and the sea about 20 to 22 °C, peaking in September. For winter sun, December to February offers around 20 to 21 °C by day, making Agadir one of the mildest cities in Morocco at that time of year, but the sea drops to about 17 to 18 °C: refreshing for a swim. For surfing, the big-swell season at Taghazout (20 km north) runs from October to March. Summer is less stifling than in Marrakech, though hot inland winds (chergui) can push temperatures up. Prices peak in August, at Easter and over the Christmas holidays: book early.
