Agadir in January: Winter Sun at Gentle Prices

January is Agadir's coolest month, yet it still reaches 20 °C by day. After the holidays, prices drop: one of the best times for a budget week of sunshine.

Agadir in January means around 20 °C by day, 8 °C at night and a sea of about 18 °C: sunshine almost every day, a refreshing swim and evenings that call for a jumper. After 2 January, demand falls and hotel prices become affordable again. On 14 January, Morocco celebrates Yennayer, the Amazigh New Year, a public holiday especially celebrated in the Souss region, of which Agadir is the capital. 1 January and 11 January are also public holidays. For activities: quad biking and sandboarding (from €18), the Crocoparc (from €10), Paradise Valley (from €17) and surfing in Taghazout, in peak swell season. Ramadan 2027, expected from 8 February, does not affect January.
