7-Day Morocco Itinerary: First-Time Discovery (2026)

Seven days is the sweet spot to taste Morocco without rushing through it. You can combine Marrakech, one night in the desert (Agafay express or Merzouga with a longer drive) and Essaouira to decompress facing the Atlantic. This day-by-day itinerary is field-tested, balanced, and tailored to a first trip — couples, friends, or families with teens.

7 days in Morocco, balanced version: 3 nights Marrakech (medina + monuments + gardens), 1-2 nights desert (Agafay if 1 night, Merzouga if 2 nights), 2 nights Essaouira (Atlantic coast). Average budget: €700-1200/person excluding flights (3-4★) and €1200-2000 in 5★/luxury.
