Ryanair and Aer Lingus both fly Dublin-Marrakech, and Ryanair also flies to Agadir; other routes, such as Fes or Tangier, usually need a connection. Irish citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days, but a passport valid for the whole stay is required, and six months' validity is recommended. Morocco is on UTC+1: one hour ahead of Ireland in winter and the same time in summer, except during Ramadan when Morocco switches to UTC+0. For a first trip, 4 to 5 days in Marrakech is ideal; allow 7 to 10 days to add the Atlas, Essaouira or the desert. Agadir is the classic winter-sun beach choice.
