When should you rent a car in Morocco?
Rent if you want a flexible route: 7-day Morocco road trip, 14-day Morocco road trip, an Atlas-desert loop, the Draa Valley, beaches between Agadir and Taghazout, or northern Morocco between Tangier, Chefchaouen and Fes.

Where should you pick up the car?
Airports are practical if you want to drive straight away: Marrakech-Menara, Casablanca Mohammed V, Agadir-Al Massira, Fes-Sais and Tangier Ibn Battouta. City pickup can be cheaper, but it takes more time and sometimes an extra taxi.
