About the event
The Valley of Roses around Kelaat M’Gouna produces the famous Damask rose, used for rose water and cosmetics. The festival, one of the oldest in southern Morocco, marks the end of the harvest and celebrates this local economy in a festive, colourful atmosphere.
It is an ideal stop on the route of kasbahs and gorges (Dades, Todgha), to combine with Ouarzazate, Aït Ben Haddou and the desert. Spring offers green, flower-filled landscapes.
