Plan your match night
Pick the right path: Morocco schedule, city guide, venue type or bookable activity around the match.
Real places to monitor by city
These are real reference places, already known as large esplanades, parks, marinas or event areas. They become a 2026 World Cup fan zone only if an official announcement confirms it. Use them as a watchlist, then check the municipality, wilaya, organiser page and access on match day.
- Casablanca: Anfa Park and Espace Toro for large public set-ups; for a controlled evening, also check Aïn Diab Corniche restaurants, Maârif and Morocco Mall spaces that announce a screening.
- Rabat: OLM Souissi and large downtown spaces for gatherings; Agdal, Arribat Center and Bouregreg Marina are easier alternatives for families or small groups.
- Marrakech: Bab Doukkala and the area around Jemaa el-Fna bring the biggest atmosphere; Guéliz, Hivernage and Menara Mall are more practical if you want to book or get a taxi home easily.
- Tangier: Villa Harris Park, Tanja Marina Bay, Malabata and the corniche are the most logical areas; choose lit, open venues close to your hotel.
- Fez: Jardin Botanique and Ville Nouvelle for big gatherings; Borj Fez and hotels around Avenue Hassan II suit families better.
- Agadir: Agadir Marina, the corniche and seafront restaurants; for a calmer option, check hotels and resorts in Founty or Taghazout Bay.
The safest options to watch a match
If you are travelling, with family or watching a late match, the best choice is not always the biggest crowd. A hotel, mall, bookable restaurant or well-reviewed sports bar often gives more control: filtered entry, seating, lighting, nearby taxis and staff on site.
- For a family: mall or bookable restaurant with toilets, a kids menu and a short journey.
- For a group of friends: sports bar or restaurant that confirms table count, screen, sound and any minimum spend.
- For a solo traveller: hotel bar or restaurant close to accommodation, with a walk back or official taxi.
- For the big atmosphere: official fan zone only, arrive early, identify the exit and decide your return plan before kick-off.
Safety checklist before going out
Before choosing a place, run a simple check on the day itself. The best signals are a dated announcement, exact address, clear opening times, stated capacity, visible security set-up and a reliable way home.
- Check the official announcement or verified social page of the venue.
- Call private venues: match shown, sound on, booking, price or minimum spend.
- Avoid isolated car parks and dark streets after late matches.
- Carry few valuables and keep a closed bag in front of you.
- Choose a meeting point away from the crowd if you are in a group.
- Plan the way back: tram, official taxi, ride-hailing app or nearby hotel.
